Alfred L. Jernigan Jr., 77, of Richmond, died Monday, August 22, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jernigan. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jernigan; two brothers, Bobby B. Jernigan and his wife, Beverly, and Joseph R. Jernigan and his wife, Brenda; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jernigan was a retired electrician with 58 years with Local 666 I.B.E.W. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
