Colon Haines Alston, son of the late Arthur and Blanche Headen Alston, was born October 16, 1931 in Chatham County, NC.
He retired from Chrysler and was a veteran.
He was the husband of Nannie Alston; and the beloved father of Lamote Alston and Teresa Alexander.
He was the brother of Macie Hadley, George Alston, adopted brother, Eric Alston and adopted sister, Grechen Alston.
He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nettie Harvey; and brothers, Wilbert Alston and James Alston.
There will be a funeral service at 6 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2003, at the Church of Deliverance, 408 E. 11th St., Wilmington, DE, where family and friends may call from 4-6 pm.
Interment will at 10 am on Monday morning, December 1, 2003, in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
