AUGUSTA, Ga. - John William Clifton Keyton, 81, passed peacefully at the home of his daughter in Alpharetta on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born in Wrightsville, GA to the late Elmo and Bessie Jackson Keyton. He was a retired McDonald's franchise owner. Mr. Keyton was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Price Keyton; brothers, Jack, Linton and Jere; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Dewey Peavy, Millard Smith and Cleon and Jean Price. He is survived by his daughters, Kellie Mitchell (Tom) of Alpharetta, Monique Lee (Billy) of Oviedo, FL; granddaughters, Lindsay and Lauren Lee; sisters, Geraldine Peavy, Joy Smith, Diane Christy (Walt); nieces and nephews, as well as his dear friend, Ms. Dottie Nisbet; and his wonderful caregiver, Crystal Kaczmarczyk. A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 20th, at 2:00 at St. John's United Methodist Church, Greene Street, with Elder Max N. Hicks officiating. Interment of ashes in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
