OBIT:

Squire D. Halferty's funeral was held on July 18 and burial was at the cemetery east of Ollie. Squire Halferty was born December 16, 1853 and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Halferty of Sigourney, and eight children, William, Fern, and Edna, and Mrs. Eva Whitmer of Sigourney; Mrs. Clara Wallerich and Mrs. Alta Coble of Richland, and Mrs. Nellie Miller of Rock Island, Illinois, and Roy Halferty of Ollie.

Mr. Halferty has two brothers, William and George of Ollie and one sister, Mrs. Verona Roof of Ollie. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. H. Krenmyre of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Sigourney.
