MRS. LILLIAN COX OF HAZLE AVENUE
Mrs. Lillian C. Cox, 61, died at her home, 46 Hazle avenue, yesterday afternoon at 5:30 after a lingering illness. Mrs. Cox never fully recovered from major surgery to which she submitted last May.
She was born in North Wilkes-Barre the daughter of the late Charles and Ann Barker Baulman, and was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Cox was the widow of the late John Cox who died in 1932. Prior to her illness she was employed by the Wilkes-Barre school district.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Lillian, at home; a sister, Mrs. Robert Owens, city; a brother, William Baulman, Ashley.
The funeral will be held from the Kniffen funeral home, 465 S. Main street, Tuesday at 1:30 with Rev. Milo D. Singer of Bethel Church officiating.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
