Died peacefully on July 16, 2016. She was 93. The daughter of Clara and Joseph Hoerig, Virginia was born June 26, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Custer High School in the Class of 1941. After graduation, she worked for the Metropolitan life Insurance Co. In 1944 she met the love of her life, Irvin Plouff, on the dance floor at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee and they were later married July 17, 1946. She eventually left Metropolitan for another full time job, raising a family of four children.
