Zella’s Dad Franklin remarried; Sarah Belle Garee a widower on October 17, 1907, in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois.
Both Sarah Elizabeth and Frederick William went to live with their Father and Stepmother Sarah and two of her children; Belmont Russell age 17 and Maud Russell age 9.
Zella May continued to live with her Aunt Flora and Uncle William Franklin Buckles and two of their children Grace Beatrice and Joseph Lloyd as everyone felt it would be too disruptive to move Zella again as she was only 3 years old.
On March 2, 1933 Zella and her husband John Thomas Moore had a son born in Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa whom they lost.
On September 13, 1938 Zella May and her husband John had another son they named Richard Donald Moore, sadly Zella died on September 14, 1938, cause of death was complications of child birth. On September 13, 1938, Zella had a Caesarean Section and passed away on September 14, 1938 at 1:00 p.m. from Aspiration Pneumonia. (Iowa State Dept of Health Death Registered No. 96, State Office No. (C62-125.) After Zella's death Richard went to live with his Aunt Flora Belle (Gulley) Buckles and was later adopted by Martin and Bernice Mansfield in Knoxville, Iowa, when he was about 7 years old.
