Bernard W. Russell of Potterville, MI was Born October 14, 1918 to Joe and Julia (Peaslee) Russell in Mt. Sterling, WI; died October 5, 2011. Bernard was preceded in death by his son, Theodore, in 2003.
He was a kind and gentle soul and well thought of throughout his long life. He loved all children and hated to see pictures of children hurt or hungry. Therefore, he contributed greatly to the needs of children worldwide by participating in feeding programs and clean water wells in places where there was no clean water to drink. Proverbs 19:17 "He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done."Born October 14, 1918 to Joe and Julia (Peaslee) Russell in Mt. Sterling, WI; died October 5, 2011.
Bernard was preceded in death by his son, Theodore, in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter Sherry (Mike) Shockley of Potterville; son Byron (Cindy) Russell of Mason; brothers Paul (Harriet) Russell of Fennimore, WI, Byron (Lorraine) Russell of Viroqua, WI and sister Irene Fritz of Wilmington, IL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2:00 p.m., at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, with visitation one hour prior.
