Born in Macon to the late Alvin Dawson Blount Sr. and Mary Frances Arnold Blount, Mr. Blount was a retired manager with Sears and retired insurance agent with Woodmen of the World. He was a member of Northridge Baptist Church in Macon, and enjoyed golf and watching television.
Mr. Blount is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Smith Blount. Survivors include his girlfriend, Mary Ann Gibbs of Macon; daughters, Amanda B. Reeves (Steve) of Macon, and Melissa B. Sheppard of Macon; grandchildren, Haley Reeves of Macon, Ashton Sheppard of Gray, and Trevor Sheppard (Amber) of Gray; great grandchildren, Cayden and Braden; and his cat, "Puff".
