A lifelong resident of the Atlanta area, Rev. Bartlett graduated from West Fulton High School. He served his Lord as an Evangelist, volunteering for the Atlanta Union Mission for 28 years. After serving at the Atlanta Youth for Christ for 3 years, he founded the Cobb County Youth for Christ where he served for 7 years. He also was pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Austell and enjoyed preaching at tent revivals.
He was preceded in death by his son Jon Edward Bartlett. Survivors include his wife Edna Louise Bartlett; children Ruth Anna Bartlett, Steven David Bartlett and wife Sandra, Sharon Elaine Bartlett, Joel William Bartlett and wife Connie M, and Connie Renee Bartlett; grandchildren Lisa, Aaron, Tyler, Samuel, Matthew, Katherine, and Briana; and great
