YORKTOWN - Vicky Sheldon's spirit was set free on September 26, 2014. She was born in 1938 in Halifax, NC and spent most of her life as a resident of the Virginia Peninsula. Vicky touched more lives than we'll ever know. Her kindness, generosity and love spread far and wide. Vicky graduated from Hampton High School. She enjoyed a very successful 26 year real estate career. Vicky worked with Teagle Realty, was one of the founding brokers of CBS Realty and retired from Kingsmill Realty. She then began a passionate 2nd career as a hypnotherapist, helping and healing others.
Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Lee Andleton, brother, Earl Andleton and sister, Lela Ford. Vicky was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Leonard Clark of Yorktown, VA; daughter, Linda Zapar of Richmond, VA; daughter, Sandra Shaffer of Yorktown, VA; son, Robert Sheldon, Jr. and wife Paula of Williamsburg, VA; father of her children, Robert Sheldon of Fort Myers, FL; sister, Grace Gunter of Newport News, VA; brother Aubrey Andleton of Hampton, VA; and grandchildren Lisande, Tanner, Cameron, Hunter, Tristan and Leigh.
Family and Friends will gather Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation in Memory of Vicky Sheldon to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, 1303 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
