Dorothy M. Chandler, 90, Mandan, passed away July 19, 2016 at Sanford Living Center off Sunset in Mandan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Selva Periannan as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Dorothy was born on September 14, 1925 to John and Mary (Tuma) Zastoupil in Dickinson, ND. She was raised and educated in the Dickinson area and went on to study design and sewing in Paris, France. She returned to the United States and settled in Seattle, WA where she opened her own dress shop, which she operated for many years. She lived in the Seattle area until 2009 when she returned to North Dakota. She was married to Lloyd Johnson, they later divorced. She later married to William Chandler, Bill died in 1991.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her step-daughter, Sylvia Call, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; sisters, Frances Andrews, Mary Malone, Josephine Dew, Amy Rhodes and Betty Killian; brothers, Robert Zastoupil, Albert Zastoupil, John Zastoupil, William Zastoupil and Anton Zastoupil.
