M. L. LORD RITES HELD ON WED. AT GLENDALE
Funeral services for McCagl e Layfayette Lord, 79, were conducted
Wednesday morning at the Glendale Bapti st Church. Mr. Lord, a retired
farmer, died Monday at the family home in Hea vener.
Born in Baxter County, Ark., May 12, 1874, he was married August 1,
1 918 to Nettie Roberts in Heavener. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant
Bapti st church.
Rev. Sherman Cox of Howe officiated at funeral services and burial
was in the Glendale cemetery under the direction of the Dowden Funeral
Home .
Survivors include his wife, of the home; six sons, Virgle and Edgar
of the home, Joe of LeFlore, Walter of Guadalupe, Calif., Oscar of
Albuquerque, N. Mex., Delmar of Pixley, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Elva
Ray of Heavener, Mr s. Artie Campbell of Lake City, Ark., Mrs. Alma
Mangrum of Hollis, Okla., and Mrs. Lois Brownfield of Wichita, Kans.;
five sisters and one brother.
