Elizabeth Irene “Beth” Ivey, 28, Marion, and her unborn son, Jon Wayne Covey, passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to Terry and Debra (York) Ivey.

Beth was a 2006 graduate of Marion High School, and attended Manchester University, IUPUI, and IVY Tech Community College. She worked on the sales team for The Cellular Connection in Gas City and previously worked as a CNA at both Colonial Oaks and Heritage Pointe. Beth was a loving mother, and her son, Ayden, was the joy of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion, and was active in the youth group while in school. She was an artist with a love of science and wanted to pursue a career in art. She won a National Scholastic Award in art. Beth liked playing video games, listening to music, and shopping. Most of all she had a kind and gentle heart, and loved to help and care for people.

In addition to her parents, Beth is survived by her son, Ayden Lee Covey; brother, William Ivey, Marion; partner, Jon Covey, Marion; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and will be missed by her dogs, Mercedes and Seabiscuit.

Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents, William (Irene) Ivey and Allen (Maxine) York; and adopted grandmother, Thelma Knauer.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Friends and family may also call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, 624 S. Adams St., Marion, IN, with Rev. Colleen Harden officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
