Fairy Corrine "Corky" Taylor was born on July 25, 1915, in Muscatine, Iowa to John Lee Taylor and Zola May Fisher.

Little Fairy Corrine lost her mother to Spanish Influenza when she was three years old. When she was five, her father married Ella Mae Lenoch, who became a nurturing step mother.

Corrine married Thomas Reagan "Reag" Adams on August 9, 1934, in Davenport, Iowa and together they had three children, two girls and a boy. At some point, she let go the name "Fairy" and began to refer to herself as Corrine Marie. But her family called her Corky.

Reag was a realtor, and regularly bought and sold homes for his wife and children. A born designer, Corky decorated each home more beautifully in its turn.

Corky and Reag moved to the Oregon coast in 1952. They began to struggle in their relationship, eventually divorcing. Their love for one another ran deep despite their complicated relationship.

Corky died on September 30, 1976, in Portland, Oregon at the age of 61.
