John Thomas (JT) Jackson

John T. Jackson 88, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 20th after a wonderful life. JT was born in Mayo, Florida to parents Joseph Solomon and Ardelia Susan Jackson. He grew up on his parents farm in Lafayette County, Florida. There he met Maxine Vivian Thompson. They were married in 1950 and had four children: John Thomas II, R. Darryl, Deborah Ann, and Jacqueline Denise. Maxine passed away in 1977. JT married Ethyl Byrd Hurst in 1985 and they were happily married till he was taken to his eternal home.

JT was well loved by his wife, children, grand children, great grand children, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, and friends. He will be missed by all of us. Funeral Services for JT will be held July 23 at Daniels Funeral Home in Branford, Florida with Reverned Fred Edwards leading the services. Interment will be at Rock Sink Baptist Church Cemetery in Dixie County, Florida. Visitation with the family will be held at Daniels Funeral Home 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, July 22.
