A memorial service was held at the Homewood Cemetery Chapel in Squirrel Hill, Pa., on July 20 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Geneseo Art League, 125 N. State St., Geneseo, IL 61254. Local inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo, is assisting with arrangements.
Jackie was born in Alton, Ill., on Oct. 19, 1929, the daughter of Henry "Cotton" and Marie Kane Boehl. She was united in marriage on June 13, 1953, to Ben E. Denison in Chicago. He preceded her in death in March of 2008.
Jackie was an avid reader, accomplished artist, lifelong lover of music and an amazing gardener. She was a lifelong learner who graduated with her B.S. from college at the age of 60.
She is survived by her sister; her seven children; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
