Gertrude was married on January 4, 1902 in Overton County to William David Wright (1876-1956), the son of Thomas Jefferson Wright (1849-1908) and Susie (Murphy) Wright (1853-1933).
Living at 4306 Colorado Avenue, Nashville, she was 72 years old and married when she died on June 25, 1956 at Baptist Hospital of a myocardial infarction. Burial was two days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
