Mrs. Judy Black Newton , 50, died Sept. 22, 1992, at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at McEwen Funeral Home, Charlotte chapel. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Newton , a Charlotte native, was a homemaker and a member of Eastway Church of God.
Survivors are her sons, Lawrence Newton Jr., George Newton ; mother, Mary Frances White-Helms Black, of Mint Hill; brother, Otto Black of Harrisburg; sisters, Mrs. Barbara Eason of Virginia, Mrs. Rebecca Lewis of Mint Hill. She was preceaded in death by her father Otto Brice Black JR.
