2nd Wife of Henry Smith Worthington. Daughter of Perry Commodore Calvin and Mary Ann Reed Calvin

After A lingering illness of several months, Mrs Susan Lorinda Worthington passed quietly to her eternal rest, at 1:30 pm Saturday February 16 at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 5 days, of pulmonary tuberculosis. She was a patient sufferer but was eager for the inevitable end of worldly woes and met her God in the faith of a Christian woman. She was a member of the Methodist Church since 1887. The services were conducted by the Royal Neighbors of America at her home. Rev. J. T. Hendrix officiated at the Church, and the Tribe of Ben Hur at the grave. Interment was made at Bethel. The neighborhood turned out as a whole as a last tribute of respect. Mrs. Worthington was the mother of 9 children, 6 of whom, and her husband preceeding her to the great beyond. Those livivng are Mrs Chas. Engelken of Detroit, Emory and James Worthington and one sister, Mrs. August Stricker of St. Clair. Our condolences to the bereaved can but in a small way express our feelings. Peace to her soul
