VELMA LYLES KING, 79, of Memphis, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with burial in Northridge/Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington. Mrs. King, the widow of Archie Lyles and Wayland King, leaves four daughters, Velma E. Ryan of Brighton, Katherine E. Hutchison of Panama City, Fla., Vicki E. Maddox of Memphis and Phyllis A. Sutton of Baxter, Tenn.; a stepson, Archie Lyles Jr. of Goreville, Ill.; five sisters, Dora Robertson of Gilbertsville, Ky., Ruby Owens of Brookport, Ill., Dorthey Wiley of New Liberty, Ill., Clara Owens of Bay City, Ill., and Shirley Calabria of Kankakee, Ill., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
