Leland W. Foster, 94, Buhl, passed away October 2, 2014. He was born in Clark Fork, Idaho on July 29, 1920 to Walter and Ethel (Kilmer) Foster where he grew up on a cattle ranch. On June 23, 1944 he married the love of his life, Vieno Huhtala.
Over the next few years they had three children, Jerry, Sheryl and Darryl and lived in Clark Fork where he worked the ranch with his mother and father. Leland enjoyed fishing and hunting, which was great in those days.
About 1958 Leland went to work in construction on the Noxen Dam, located near Clark Fork, which launched his career in construction. Leland, with his wife, worked in Washington State, Michigan, Iran and Mexico.
About 1978, Leland returned from Mexico and retired on his 11 acre mini ranch near Buhl. He enjoyed traveling with his wife all over the world. They visited wonderful places and saw many sights. They had countless adventures and wonderful experiences.
