Thomas Lee Watson, age 71 of Council Bluffs, passed away July 24, 2016 in Omaha.

Tom was born in Glenwood, Iowa on August 13, 1944, to Thomas and Ruby (Ross) Watson and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1962. He worked for many years as a meat cutter, and his memberships include Epworth United Methodist Church, Bluff City Masonic Lodge #71 where he also served as past master, Tangier Shriner and also a clown, Harmony OES #25, Yorkrite/Scottishrite and served in the National Guard. He was united in marriage to Sheri Dempster on July 2, 1966.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Thomas "T.J." Lemire; and granddaughter, Alexandria Durrett; sisters, Marvel Naud, Pauline Cross and Marie Reed; mother and father-in-law, Lucille and Jack Dempster; brother-In-law, Doug Dempster.

Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheri Watson; son, Jason and wife Holly; daughter, Bethany Watson all Council Bluffs; daughter, Niki Durrett and husband Cole of Centerville, IA; grandchildren, Tori Lemire, Coleman and Isabella Durrett, Kea Brix, Lucia and Ison Watson; sister, Cheryl McManigal and husband Jim of Glenwood, IA; sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Charles Ford of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
