From daughter Kathy:

"My mother lived a simple life raising her children. She taught us
that religion is our purpose. She would pray everyday. I would ask her for an answer
if I had a problem and she would say that I could figure it out myself. She loved to
talk to people and make friends. She would very rarely give praise to us, we were
expected to do the right thing.
She lived in a nursing home for several years before she passed away.
My brother James was mentally ill, and she took care of him until she no longer could.
I bought my first business on 69th and Pulaski, a Dunkin Donuts store so that I could be
there for her if she needed me. She was a giving person and never required much
of anything for herself. I wanted to send both of my parents back to Ireland but
she rejected my offer. She faced many hardships while I was growing up, but
never complained about anything. I often wonder how she accomplished so
much with so little. She deserves to be in heaven with our Lord, because
she earned her wings while she lived on earth."
