Lillie was the daughter of Sarah (Mobley) Fix Crisler Flora, but the identity of her father is unclear, and her exact year of birth is also hazy.
On the 1870 census, she was listed as "Lilla C. Crisler," along with an older sister, Williametta Crisler. Both of these girls had assets of $1000 listed on this census. Williametta was Albert Crisler's heir, but Lillie does not seem to be his child. Lillie was age 7 in 1870. It's possible Lillie had assets listed in error. This record, as well as Lillie's civil death certificate, lists her father as John Flora, although this seems unlikely. The marriage record, the 1900 census, and the death certificate all consistently suggest Lillie was born in Oct. 1861, although this, too, isn't absolutely certain.
