Services for Robert "Big Red" Helm Sr., 57, of 1705 Capitol Ave., who died of cancer Wednesday at home, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Helm was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was retired from Rich's Tire and Radiator.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Jr. and Gary, both of Des Moines and Michael of Altoona; two daughters, Mary Howe and Peggy Fetters, both of Des Moines; a brother, Don of Springfield, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
