Edgar Eugene Maxwell was born July 16, 1942 in Boswell, OK, the son of Edgar Maxwell and Cleo (Hasty) Maxwell and had lived all of his life in this area. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Maxwell and Elbert Lee Maxwell. Gene was a retired police officer working in law enforcement for 36 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Hugo. Gene enjoyed playing marbles and Michigan Poker and especially enjoyed family reunions. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert Maxwell of Hugo and Phillip Maxwell and wife, Barbara, also of Hugo; one daughter; Gina Nassar Edwards and husband, Mickey of Hugo; six grandchildren, Bradley Ray Maxwell, Torie Jan Maxwell, Dalton Kole Maxwell, Gregory Marwan Nassar, Christopher Shane Nassar and Na'keia C'yne Nassar; five great grandchildren, Aiden Wayne Maxwell, Cayden Andrew Nassar, Abriana Lynn Suhr, Gabrielle Nicole Nassar and Kinzlie Alore Nassar; Brothers and sisters, Darlene Tedder of Hugo, Jolene Saxon of Hugo, Leon Maxwell of Hugo, Kay Brown and husband Randy of Weatherford,TX, Jennifer Maxwell of Lubbock, TX, Ronnie Maxwell of Lubbock, TX, G.W.
