Benjamin Hal Nethery, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at a local hospital.
He was an active deacon of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy, where he taught adult Sunday school and was the music director.
He was retired from Singer Cobble.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Ray Nethery; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Howard Nethery; sister, Mary Allison.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Nethery; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Millie Nethery; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Nethery and Jerry Eaton; sisters, Elizabeth Johnson, Margaret Mealey, Martha Stacy; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. today, Nov. 7, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Rowan officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
