Hermine Hughes, Shadwood Drive, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at her residence.
She was a native of Augusta and worked for 28 years at the University Hospital as a pediatric nursing assistant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) H. Hughes, who died in 1992.
She is survived by two sons, William (Cynthia) Hughes Jr., Springfield, Va. and Norman Hughes, Augusta; two daughters, Kathleen Dukes, and Bernice Greer, Augusta; a devoted cousin, Bernices Smith, Newark, N.J.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at 11 a.m., in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Deacon Gregory Bernard officiating.
The rosary will be recited on Monday at 7 p.m., at Dent's Undertaking Establishment, Rev. Andrew Doris officiating.
