"Cook J Weber, aged 62 years, died at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Dr Enona B Homan, 105 East First street, from apoplexy. Although he had been in poor health for several months he was about the home until Tuesday, when he was stricken with his last illness. Mr Weber was born in Centre county and came to this section of the state when quite young, having spent the greater part of his life in Oil City. He was a school teacher for more than 25 years, having been principal of the Siverly schools, and later an instructor in the schools of Cornplanter township. He had the honor of being the first student from Venango county to graduate from the Edinboro State normal school. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs George Corman, of Freeport, Ill; Mrs Alice Doebler, Mrs John A Gable and Mrs James Shiffer, of Williamsport; H H Weber, of Emporium; George [Weber], of Lock Haven, and Newton [Weber], of Rebersburg, Pa. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed."

The services will be in charge of Rev Charles E Snyder, pastor of the First Unitarian church of Pittsburg[h]. Interment will be at Grove Hill cemetery."
