Georgia J. Schrot, age 88, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at District One Hospital, Faribault.
Memorial services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Bernadette Tatge, officiating. Interment will be held at Richland Cemetery, rural Faribault.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and also at the funeral home for one hour prior to the services on Monday.
Georgia J., the daughter of George and Jane (Poehler) Gudridge, was born on January 12, 1928 in Waterville. In 1946, she graduated from Faribault High School. Georgia married Clarence “Bud” Schrot on November 7, 1946 in Owatonna. She loved driving equipment and farming in Richland Township with her husband. Georgia enjoyed traveling in their motor home, reading, and snowmobiling.
She is survived by three children, Linda (and Leslie) LeRoy of Livingston, MT, Dan (and Linda) Schrot of Faribault, and Jim (and Melainey) Schrot of Faribault; one half daughter, Beverly (and Roger) Wessels of Albert Lea; one daughter in law, Chris Schrot of Faribault; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren which represented two different lines of five generations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence “Bud” Schrot; one son, Michael Schrot; and four siblings, William Gudridge, Jane Rodosovich, Patsy Gudridge, and Russell Gudridge.
