Colored Resident Dies at St. Mary's Hospital Following Extended Illness
Mrs. Madeline Lane Harvey died yesterday following an eight weeks illness with stomach trouble and an operation. She was born in Galesburg September 10, 1894 and has always lived in this city. She was a member of the Allen M.E. Sunday School. She has been living at 792 Abingdon Street. Surviving are her husband, William Clark Harvey, her mother, Mrs. George Lane, and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Lucy Brown and Francis Lane of this city; George Lane of Niack, NY, and Clarence Lane of Hannibal, MO. Her grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of Galesburg also mourns her loss.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the A.M.E. Church.
