Frank was born in Mt. View Township,
Towner County to Kaisa Elizabeth
(Mustonen) and Abram Savaloja.

He spent his first childhood years
on the family homestead in Picton
Towmship.

As a child he moved with his family
to Dunblane, Sask., where the family
homesteaded on the banks of the South
Saskatchewan River.

Upon the death of his mother in 1914,
and sister Olga in 1916, the family
moved back to the Towner County Area
in North Dakota.

Frank spent some time in the area
around the Black Hills and Newell,
South Dakota with his brother Isaac
for a number of years.

They worked in the lumber camps in
the 'hills' and also and helped
relatives on a ranch near Newell.

He was united in marriage with Delores
Stapleton at Cando, ND,on Dec. 28,1939.

Frank and Delores farmed two miles
north of Hansboro. Their farmstead
was on the west side of the highway
just off the road, on the banks of
Hidden Island Coulee.

They had two children,Gayle Jean
and Kaye.

Frank farmed in the Hansboro area
until his death.*
