MARTIN, ROBERT WENDELL— Age 51 years of R.D. 2, Box 53, Hopwood, (Coolspring), died suddenly Sunday, June 12, 1977 at 11:15 a.m. in the Frick Memorial Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. He was a member of the Uniontown Free Methodist Church. He was an Electrician, and he belonged to the Local Union I.B.E.W. No. 5 of Pittsburgh, Pa. He was also a veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Martin in 1939. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Davison Martin of Coolspring, Pa.; his wife, Gwendolyn Weaver Martin; four sons, Robert W. Martin, II of Point Marion, Pa., Patrick L. of Smithfield, Pa., Alan Scott and Blake L. both at home, a grandson, Robert W. Martin III at home. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth Martin of Lower Burrell, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Lester (Lenore) Goodwin of Macomb, Illinois, Rev. Archie (Ruth) Mathias of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Grafton (Sally) Fisher of Mount Pleasant, Pa. and Mrs. Robert (Emily) Detling of McKeesport, Pa. Friends are being received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 164 South Mount Vernon Ave., today 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. E. W. Cowsert officiating. Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
