Died.
At the family residence near this city Friday Sep. 9th of typhoid fever Miss Laura J. Way aged 19 yrs., 5 mon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. J. Martin.
Again it becomes our sad duty to notice the death of one of our young people. Death is sad at all times, but when a young girl just entering womanhood, with a life full of joy, hope and ambition seemingly just before her is cut down, it is doubly sad. Why these things take place is beyond our comprehension.
But the all wise Father makes no mistakes, and it is for us to bow in humble submission to His will. Miss Laura was loved by all who knew her for her many good qualities. At her funeral on Sunday the church was crowded to overflowing showing how deeply her loss was felt. "I know O Lord thy judgements are right and thou hast in faithfulness affiicted [sic] me."
