Carol Ann Campbell, 50, of Santa Maria, passed away August 17th, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born November 10th, 1963 in Santa Maria, CA. Carol graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1981. She worked as a legal secretary in the office of Michael J. Scott for 17 years. Carol loved spending time with family, especially during the Holidays, for BBQ's and family get togethers. She was especially fond of enjoying the company of her beloved grandchildren. She loved to spend her time nurturing her outdoor garden and took great pride in her knowledge and care of her plants. Carol was such a loving, kind person who never missed an opportunity to spark up a conversation anywhere she went.

Carol is survived by her husband, John Campbell; her son and daughter-in-law, Clayton and Kirsten Campbell; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Tavo Zepeda; five grandchildren, Zaiden and Van Campbell; Lorena, Vincent and Oliver Zepeda; her father and his wife, Anthony and Charlotte Kunkel; her three sisters, Jinny Scott, Barbara Carroll and Joan Robb; her brother, Anthony Kunkel; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws.

She was preceded in death her mother, Lorena Kunkel.

A celebration of Carol's life service will be held at Santa Maria Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at 2:00 PM. A special thank you to Mission Hope Cancer Center - Dr. Ketting, Dr. Dichmann, all of the amazing staff and especially to Alison Fernandez, for advocating for her.
