Morris Marion Brown was born on May 8, 1932, in Stroud, and departed this life on Monday, August 1, 2016, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.

Morris, the son of Andrew Michael and Rosa Angeline (Whitley) Brown, was a resident of Paden. He married Katie Oneta Mayfield on July 7, 1951 in Paden. She preceded him in death on November 17, 2010. Morris worked as a titanium fabricator for McDonald Douglas for 27 years. He was also a pastor at Highway Mission church in Welty, Oklahoma. He supported missionaries and devoted much time to helping others. Morris enjoyed livestock shows, fishing and gardening. He also taught several young men to play guitar.

His wife, parents, granddaughter Marissa Mayfield, sisters, Fern Lee, Bessie Mayfield, Cleo Clonts, Bertha Lakins, Agnes Widener Lytle, Ruby Bivens and brother, Carl Cecil Brown, preceded him in death.

Morris is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law; Stan and Naomi Brown of Prague, Wendell and Melanie Brown of Paden, David and Kathy Brown of Paden, Kent Brown of Paden; daughters and son-in-law; Glenda Mayfield of Prague, Jana and Chris Cheatwood of Paden; twin sister; Delores “DI” Case of Paden; sisters; Margrett Clonts of Paden, Pauline Orr of Paden; 18 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Lighthouse Holiness Church in Prague with Rev. Aaron Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery.
