Max was the son of William John and Ruth Irene Cowell Buck. He had three brothers Paul Robert, William John Jr. and Ralph Boyd. He was married to Martha Pauline Zambory
on August 11, 1951 in Yuma, Arizona. They were the parents of four children Cathy Lynn, Jerry Dean, Diane Elaine and David Wayne. The grandparents of Timothy Dale, Damion Lee, Eric Dean and Audrey Pauline. Great Grandparents of Jaylee Dawn, Brittani Dawne, Konnar Dale, Trevor Paul, Alexandrea Pauline, Zoey Lynn, Connar Dean, Korbin Lee and Zachary. Max was in the Navy and stationed in California when he met Martha. They moved back to Iowa and he worked as a mechanic, gas station attendant, truck driver and various other things. Dad found out he had cancer and ten months later he was gone. He told me when he found out, "Make sure you do the things you want to do now because you may not live to retire and do those things." Sadly he did not.
