Rick E. Baron, 81, of Peoria passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 11, 1935 to Harry and Edith Jones. He married Debra Mathenia on September 19, 1980. He is survived by his wife, Debra; son, Christopher Sharp; daughter, Anglique (Gerald) Moore; grandchildren, James Look, Ashley, Alex and Christopher Sharp Jr., Austin Smith and Gerald Moore Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, James M. Sharp. Rick served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Cab Driver. He loved playing Chess, was a fine craftsman and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held.
Rick's original name was "Merrick Leroy Jones", which he petitioned to change to "Rick Emery Baron" in Richland Co., OH Probate Court in Mar 1957.
