Son of Michael Klem and Minnie Schneideroff (born in Alexandira, Russia 1/10/1887 - 1951 ) They married on August 18, 1918 in Boston, MA. Both were born in Russia. She sailed into New York Harbor aboard the Statendem on July 5, 1904. In the 1920 Census her father is the Police at an Auto Factory. They were living with one of his mothers sisters family.

In the 1940 Census he is living in Boston, MA with his widowed mother. They are renting a room from a private family.

Joel Klem, 81, of Winter Garden passed away January 27, 2003. He moved to Central Florida in 1963.

He was retired 23 years in the United States Air Force as a Captain, serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by Lisa and Todd Butler of Winter Garden, Sharon Klem and Trey Guy of Portland, OR; two grandsons, Patrick Butler and Ian Michael Guy; and a granddaughter, Cat Butler.
