Obituary--R.A. Henderson
Robert Alexander Henderson was born in Gurnsey county, Ohio, January 18, 1844, and died in Clearfield, Iowa, January 27, 1926, aged 82 years and 9 days. When quite small he moved with his parents to Fulton county, Illinois, and when ten years old to Mercer County, Illinois, near North Henderson, where he lived with his widowed mother. In 1864 he enlisted in the Union Army, Company C, Regiment 36, Illinois Infantry in which two brothers already served, and he served until the end of the war.
Mr. Henderson was the last of a family of nine children.
