Bobby was my uncle, he was 82 of Hickory died Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 2nd, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Bertie Beaver. Bob retired from selling insurance after 28 years for Liberty Life. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and working for the church. Bob and his wife formed a prayer quilt ministry, where they made and took prayer quilts to the nursing homes and hospitals in the surrounding area. Bob was a man of strong faith and loved all of his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Deborah Susan Beaver; a daughter Elaine Miller and husband Todd of Conover; a son Steve Beaver and wife Missy of Davidson; a step son Jeff Byers and wife Teresa of Maiden; a sister Bertha Hoyle of Shelby; a brother Virgil Beaver and wife Selma of Shelby; six grandchildren, Tanner Miller, Jarrett Miller, Lauren Bruce, Jordan Beaver, Christina Champion, Lauren Byers; four great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

In addition to his parents; two daughters Cynthia Champion and Angela Linder; a grandchild Ward Linder; his great grandchild Jaxson Beaver, three sisters, and five brothers preceded him in death.

The Celebration of life was held at 6:30pm Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at Bethel Evangelical and Reformed church with Rev. Anne Wepner officiating.

The family received friends from 5:30 pm -6:30 pm Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at the church.
