PIONEER WOMAN TAKEN BY DEATH
Death early this morning claimed another old-time resident, Mrs. Saphronia M. Morton, 87, widow of Andrew Morton, farmer near Medical Lake.
Mrs. Morton was born in Colden, N.Y., and lived in Riverside, Wis., before she came west in her early childhood. She had lived in the Spokane district since 1896 and was a member of the Pioneer society.
Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Thomas McCart and Mrs. A. A. Lewis, both of Spokane, and six grandchildren. The body is at the Smith funeral home.
