Ludie Allen passed away at the Thayer Nursing Center Nov. 19, 1972 at the age of 91 years, 10 months, and 19 days. She was born Jan. 10, 1881 at Ravenden Springs, Ark., the daughter of J.E. and Margaret Taylor.
In 1897 she was married to Haston Allen. To this union five children were born, two of which passed away at an early age.
She united with the Assembly of God Church when it was organized in Thayer, and continued her membership and worked faithfully with them throughout her life.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Artha Daniel of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; Mrs. Ruby McGill of Thayer, Mo.; and Mrs. Mable Roberts of Thayer, Mo.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral service for Mrs. Allen was conducted by Rev. Paul Young in the Leo Carr Chapel November 22, 1972, with burial in the Thayer Cemetery.
