Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Phelps, wife of the late John Fremon Phelps, age 67 years, died at her home near Short Creek Tuesday, Dec. 4, after being ill for several months. All was done for her that loving hands could do, but God saw best to take her home in Heaven. Mrs. Phelps was a good Christian mother and was a member of the church for 54 years. Funeral services were conducted at Pleasant Run Wednesday by Rev. D.B. Wyrick and Rev. Bert Whitaker. She leaves four children, Ernest, Oather, Mrs. Lummie Mize, and Mrs. Theodore Mize. We extend sympathy to them.
