Obituary: Evening News, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Monday, 12 November 1990, reads: Otis S. Kirtley; Funeral services for Otis S. Kirtley, 78, of 550 W. Main St., Borden, were held today at Daisy Hill United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Friday at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was a native of Louisville, a retired employee of Kimball Office Furniture and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy A. McGill; a son, Otis A. Kirtley of Pekin; a daughter, Nancy V. Jackson of Columbus; two sisters, Mildred Hurst of Salem and Augusta Ooley of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and a grandchild. Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
