JOYCE OWANA (HAYS) COOPER, 84, of Duncan, Okla., died Friday, March 23, 2012, in Duncan.
Funeral service wil be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Don Grantham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5-7 p.m.
Joyce was born July 10, 1927, the daughter of R. T. and Gladys (Cloud) Hays in Duncan. She married Ned Cooper on Dec. 10, 1946, in Duncan. From this union came two daughters, Paula and Janice.
She was employed at and retired from Duncan Builders Supply. She loved to travel, enjoying many cruises with good friends. She was a very involved member of West Side Christian Church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Pat Wilcox; her brother, R. T. Hays, Jr.; her husband, Ned Cooper; and her two daughters, Paula Peck and Janice Hartley.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Rick Peck; her five grandchildren, Wendi Ladewig, Trey Hartley, Jeremy Jones, Cathy Morton and Vicki Smith; and her 14 great-grandchildren.
