Thomas Minor Workman was the son of Frank and Dora "Agnes"(Baldridge) Workman. He was united in marriage to Iva Mae "Mae" Wamsley on May 13, 1939. They had six children: Rosalie Workman Horsley; Betty Workman Connolley; Shirley Workman; Frank Workman; George Workman; and Roger, who died in infancy and is buried near Tom and Mae in Evergreen Cemetery. Tom died while working at the Ford automobile plant in Batavia, Ohio. His death is one of those that led to the inclusion of backing-up warning beepers on construction vehicles. His obituary describes him as "a diligent worker, always keeping the welfare of his family in his heart and mind. He possessed a good sense of humor, a love of laughter and a desire to be a good friend and neighbor at all times."
