Debi was born in Waxahachie, Texas, to the late Hal Leon and Mary Virginia Patman Curry. For 26 years of her life, before an automobile accident on January 23, 1978, she enjoyed a very productive and happy life.
Debi attended The Hockaday School in Dallas, The Roycemore School in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated from W.T.White High School in Dallas, where she was in the National Honor Society and an officer in the Wrangler Club her senior year. She earned B.A. and M.P.A. degrees from Southern Methodist University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Following graduation, she was an assistant city manager for the City of Garland. She was a member of College Street Church of Christ.
Debi loved her animals. She loved riding her horse, Kissimee Lady, and enjoyed her dog, Pooh Bear, and her cat, White Copy. She always had a smile on her face and was an extremely kind and joyful person. Debi had a fantastic sense of humor and truly had a joy for life.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, P.P. and Irene Curry, and Luther and Maybelle Dewberry Patman.
Survivors include her sister, Donna Curry; and an uncle and aunt, Donald and Mary Patman; as well as several cousins and many friends. G5
