Hester Burgan Riggins, 82 of Stephenville died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Duffau Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hester was born on June 7, 1929 in Duffau to the late Bruce and Zura Flannery Burgan. She worked many years in the X-ray Department at the Stephenville Hospital. Hester lived most of her life in Stephenville.

She is survived by long time companion, Tommy Walker of Stephenville; two brothers, C. B. 'Jr.' Burgan and Bill Burgan both of Alice; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mildred, Erma Mae, and Dee; and by a brother, Pete.

Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Foster's Home for Children.
